About us
Our mission
At Perspective Risk, an Advania company, our security professionals are obsessed by cybersecurity. Actually, this means they’re obsessed with YOUR cybersecurity.
Our mission is to provide the very best managed security services in the UK to our clients; helping them detect, and respond to, cyber threats and breaches, and protect their business from the risks posed by cybercriminals – every day.
We are the UK’s foremost cybersecurity experts. Trust is key. And you can trust us when we say the cybercriminals don’t like us.
Get in touchHistory
Perspective Risk (PR) was established in 2010 by Pravesh Kara and Zia Rehman.
Their combination of skills created a fresh, dynamic approach to information security, winning them deep respect and a client list of household names.
Perspective Risk joined Content+Cloud in 2017, back when the business was known as IT Lab prior to the merger with Content and Code, which formed Content+Cloud in 2020. Content+Cloud was then acquired by the Advania Group in December 2021, and is now taking the next step in the journey by rebranding as Advania in the UK, with effect from 14 November 2023.
The union enabled PR to accelerate the development of new services. For IT Lab clients, it opened the door to specialist security services and the convenience of one supplier relationship.
Get in touchAn Advania company, we comply with the group’s Green Policy. We meet our legal obligations relating to the provision of information security and associated services.
We maintain good relationships with all regulatory bodies. We’re committed to protecting the environment by operating responsibly. At a high level, we do this by:
- Assessing and regularly re-assessing the environmental effects of our activities.
- Training our employees in environmental issues. On a practical level, we minimise our carbon footprint by:
- Avoiding wasteful printing.
- Recycling plastic, paper, aluminium cans, glass and redundant mobile phones.
- Managing our energy consumption, e.g. turning off lights, closing windows, daily check screen closures.
- Sourcing recycled products for staff use, e.g. pens and drinks mats.
- Using electronic communications instead of posting, e.g. invoices and payslips.
- Reducing our impact on the roads by: our cycle to work scheme, car sharing, video-conferencing technology and installing software remotely.
Advania group’s chosen charity for 2018 was the NSPCC. In 2019, our chosen charities were Mind and the Cure Parkinson’s Trust. All these causes are close to our hearts. Through staff fundraising initiatives and company contributions, we’ve been privileged to donate tens of thousands of pounds. Other charitable activities take place across our locations. These include supporting a food bank in Manchester and volunteer work for the homeless in London. We couldn’t be prouder of the dedication of our many colleagues. We also donate equipment to children’s nurseries and schools.
Team
We challenge one another, we learn, we continually innovate – and we like to banter! World-class information security consultants like ours are in high demand.
The average tenure of our security pros is over five years; exceptional in such a fast-moving sector. Why is this? Because they thrive in a dynamic environment, where no two days are the same.
It wasn’t by chance that Content+Cloud, now Advania, approached us in 2017 – out of hundreds of information security consultancies and asked us to join them. We’re proud of our reputation – built by our team – and reflect this in our every deed and word.
